Finding: In the last decade women in technology have played a bigger part in tech startups than ever before, and their contribution to company growth and value is significant.

Summary:
This study shows that among high tech companies headed by women, they are more capital-efficient. High-tech companies backed by women were also found to produce profits at early stages.
One finding was particularly impressive, “Organizations that are the most inclusive of women in top management achieve 35% higher ROE and 34% better total return to shareholders versus their peers – and research shows gender diversity to be particularly valuable where innovation is key.”
As of 2009, 17 of the 19 US high-tech IPOs has a women among higher-up management. Another finding purported that women owned/backed businesses have lesser rates of failure. In general, women-owned or led firms of the fastest growing sector for new venture businesses, emanating at a rate five times that of all new firms.
