by | Jun 21, 2022 | InPower Moments

When you’re being considered for a promotion, major contract or new opportunity, what makes you stand out? Your sparkling personality, and even your reputation, will only get you so far.

The core truth is that clients, hiring managers and recruiters will scan your package looking for accomplishments. And the ones that make them say, “Whoa!” are the ones that advance you to the next stage of evaluation.

Accomplishments are the bones of your professional story to date, and they expand (or contract) the scope of what people believe you’re capable of in the future.

So how expansively will people see your future based on what you’ve accomplished so far? How have your accomplishments defined your career to date?

This can feel daunting, but the good news is that you only need a handful of really good ones, spaced out over time, to define your personal brand.

So if you haven’t just landed a huge accomplishment, it’s time to focus. How soon can you accomplish something big, that matters and that benefits people who matter?
