Is asking yourself how happy you are a little scary?

Don’t shy away from asking yourself the hard questions just because you fear the answers.

I recently turned the tables on a leader-client who was worried about employee engagement in his company.

I asked him how happy HE was in the company he’d built.

The damn broke.

It had to be about him before it could be about them.

The same is true for you, whether you lead people or paperclips. Have a challenge outside yourself? Start with yourself and let your personal honesty lead you into the outside world through the lens of your own contribution to the problems manifesting around you.

It’s not all that hard, but no one says it will be easy.

Good luck!
