INSIGHT: Respite

by | Dec 27, 2013 | Coaching Advice, Insights & Inspiration

Ever been in the eye of a hurricane? Me either, but I imagine that if I were, I’d take a moment between the panic to notice things in a new way, relax and prepare for the next onslaught.

There are moments of calm in the storm, and when they don’t happen naturally, we can make them anyway.

End of the year rush is still going on. And even if you’re reading this on a summer day, I can guarantee there’s a busy bustle going on somewhere near you that you could be in if you chose to.

So, for a little while anyway, don’t choose to be in the bustle. Choose to be in a quiet place where the bustle comes into perspective.

Now, make this a more powerful experience and create a calm space for some people around you. Your staff. Your family. Your friends. Invite them in and let them breathe and relax a bit. Talk about a special gift.
