INSPIRATION: Success Is Messy

by | Feb 3, 2023 | Insights & Inspiration

Life is an art and a science. Expect it to be messy. Own the mess and the process and life becomes beautiful and amazingly powerful.

When they told you to color in between the lines, “they” did you a great disservice.

“They” were wrong – Messy is good

Creating something valuable is a messy process.

This is why artists and scientists both experiment and fail – a lot.

Want to create something important? Meaningful? Impactful? Beautiful? Let yourself get messy. Let yourself be wrong sometimes.

Of course, even artists need to clean up – sometimes; there’s new inspiration to be found when a fresh canvass comes out. And even scientists have to use their imaginations – sometimes; or they would never be able to “see” what can’t be “seen,” but which can be discovered. It’s their process and it works.

What’s your process? In what ways does “messy” show up in your life and work? Where do you color outside the lines?
